A new perception of Love and Attraction

Many of us, including me, used to think there is a huge difference between Love and Attraction.
I am here to share my recent new perception of Love and Attraction.
Some days back I listen to a Podcast on “How Not to Die Alone - A Dating Experts Guide” by Deep Dive with Ali Abdal with Logan Ury who is a Behavioural Scientist turned dating coach who recently authored the bestselling book, How Not to Die Alone.
From the podcast one of the phases, that I can’t forget and that change my perception about dating and relationships is,
“Relationship is not something which is found but instead it is build”
(This isn’t the exact quote but the meaning is the same)
Now before listing to this podcast I used to think that Love and Attraction are two different things that are difficult to recognize as the difference is very little.
Let me first share why I had such a mentality about love and attraction, we are always said that true love happens only once and that when we meet the love of our life we instantly have a spark and this happens from both sides and within a week we are in a relationship.
But it is not true from my perspective, now I will explain my new perception which I believe is true after listening to the podcast.
From Attraction, love begins.
Disclaimer: Attraction here means anything common between two or something you liked the most in the other person in a good way, that can be his/her helping nature, smile, etc.
Okay, the reason behind why I think Attraction is the beginning of the love is, when you first see someone and you like something about the person or which attracts you, that maybe there good and helping nature, their smile or maybe having a common interest, for example, reading books.
This is nothing but having a crush on someone.
Now after having a crush, you talk to them try to understand who they are, and at the same time let them know who you are.
Sometimes what you see from the outside is not the same from the inside. So understanding them for who they really are is important if you are looking for a long-term happy relationship.
Never hurry when it comes to dating and relationships.
I am an old-fashioned person and I don’t believe we should show off to impress our crush if the other person feels safe with you and happy she/he will choose you before the most handsome boy/beautiful girl in the world.
Always remember, if you are looking for a true long-term happy relationship, be authentic don’t try to fake anything in order to impress your crush. The one who will keep you happy won’t get disappointed because of your introverted nature, your inabilities. Always remember beauty comes from inside 😊

Book📕
It is a very interesting and insightful book on how to hyperfocus and tackle distraction. As in today’s world, we are surrounded by tons of information and distraction and this book can really help to tackle those. I am currently reading this book and I am loving it. Maybe I will share the summary of the book.
